Here are the easy steps of how our Adoptions take place!
Step 1- Adoptions begin with previewing photos of the pet that you are interested in. You can find our current pets on our Adoptable Pets Tab!
Step 2- Click on the pet of your interest and follow the apply now button to complete your application.
Step 3- A member of our staff will contact you to setup an appointment for you to come and meet the pet of your choice.
We are only allowing adopters who have approved applications in for appointments at this time.
Appointments are limited to 30 minutes so that we can serve others as well.
For pets that are not already spayed and neutered during your visit, we will set up the surgery appointment and you will pickup your new pet directly from the veterinarians office.
IMPORTANT: The DeKalb Animal Shelter reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the application.
